What We Do

IAKCS’s services cover the whole spectrum of Skills Development, economic development, and assistance is provided to both development organizations, corporate conglomerates companies and governmental institutions at central and local levels.

The main fields of services of IAKCS are clustered in three broad categories:

COMPETENCY BASED TRAINING MATERIALS DEVELOPMENT

  • Develop Occupational Competency Standards (CS) for different occupations of diverse sectors.
  • Develop curricula for Competency Based Training (CBT)
  • Develop Competency Based Learning Materials (CBLM).
  • Develop Competency Skills Logbook (CSLB)
  • Develop training assessment tools for diverse occupations.
  • Develop training manual for industry/enterprise/skills upgradation.
  • Translate books and materials (English to Bangla and vice versa).

TRAINING AND WORKSHOP

  • Facilitate Training of Trainers (ToT) on Basic instructional skills.
  • Facilitate Training of Trainers (ToT) on Soft Skills.
  • Facilitate Training of Trainers on occupational skills.
  • Facilitate training on Occupational Health and Safety (OHS)
  • Courses on development, social change, social mobilization and community participation,
    group dynamics and counseling, motivation and leadership.
  • Human and skills development courses on income generation, health and agricultural aspects
  • Training workshop on project planning and management, and monitoring, supervision,
    evaluation and reporting in development communication
  • Training on interpersonal and mass media communication, counseling techniques, media,
    messages and materials development
  • Organize workshops, seminars, conferences and public relations activities.

COMMUNICATION & RESEARCH

  • Conduct Training Needs Assessment (TNA) and Evaluation
  • Conduct audience research and program needs assessment
  • Conduct sectoral analysis, stakeholder mapping and occupational analysis
  • Perception studies, situation analysis, feasibility studies, project appraisal and media studies
  • Strategy formulation, intervention design, program strategic planning and qualitative
    evaluation
  • Program monitoring, critical review and impact evaluation and evaluation of advocacy and
    social mobilization component of program.

INFORMATION, EDUCATION AND COMMUNICATION (IEC)

  • Design and develop IEC/Communication plan and strategy for development programs
  • Design and develop IEC/Communication materials
  • Pretesting and field testing communication materials

GENDER BALANCE, SENSITIVITY AND DEVELOPMENT

  • Assess and evaluate gender sensitivity in planning, management and implementation of
    development programs and develop pragmatic strategies
  • Assess women's participation in development, especially in education and training, health,
    poverty alleviation and rural development and develop strategies
  • Plan and develop strategy for promoting Adolescent Family Life Education (AFLE)

HUMAN RESOURCE DEVELOPMENT SERVICES

  • Assess and evaluate institutional, administrative and financial management capabilities of
    various organizations
  • Assist government and private enterprises in identifying management needs
  • Develop and provide appropriate training programs for human resource development
  • Design development projects and develop Management Information System (MIS).

COMPUTER AND SYSTEMS SERVICES

  • Data entry and data processing on computer.
